Timmy Jernigan Jr - #8

Yet Another in a series of photo posts about individual players that contributed heavily to FSU's perfect season and National Championship in 2013.  Not much wordsmithing... mostly just pics.  Enjoy.

Next up... Junior Defensive Tackle Timmy Jernigan Jr. - #8.  At 6'2", 292lbs., Jernigan dominated the defensive line this year for the Noles.  Timmy was an ESPN.com First Team All-American, and Coaches First Team All-ACC.  He also had a long list of Second Team All-American honors.  Congrats on a great year Timmy.

Lamarcus Joyner - #20

Fifth in a series of photo posts about individual players that contributed heavily to FSU's perfect season and National Championship in 2013.  Not much wordsmithing... mostly just pics.  Enjoy.

Next up is the one guy that in my opinion was the most intense player on the team this year... Senior Defensive Back, Lamarcus Joyner.  At 5'8", 190lbs, Larmarcus matches my physical stats exactly, although my 190lbs is distributed somewhat differently than his.  Don't let his size fool you. When Lamarcus is coming after you, you'd better watch out!  He'll get there quick, and pound you when he catches you.

Lamarcus racked up a long list of achievements this year:  Consensus First Team All-American, the first DB for FSU with that distinction since 2000... Jim Thorpe Award finalist... Bronko Nagurski Award finalist.   For his performance against Clemson:  the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week, the Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week, the FWAA Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week, the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week, the CFPA National Defensive Back of the Week and the ACC Defensive Back of the Week.  Wow!   FSU is going to miss Lamarcus  next year.

Bryan Stork - #52

Fourth in a series of photo posts about individual players that contributed heavily to FSU's perfect season and National Championship in 2013.  Not much wordsmithing... mostly just pics.  Enjoy.

Next up... the heart of the offensive line,  Red Shirt Senior Bryan Stork at 6'4", 298lbs and 2 lbs of beard.  What a stellar year Bryan had this year.  Stork won the Rimington Trophy, given to the top Center in the nation... was one of five semifinalists for the Outland Trophy for the top interior lineman in the country... was runner-up for the ACC Jacobs Blocking Trophy... All-American and All-ACC First Team.  He'll undoubtedly be playing on Sundays somewhere next year.
